Kadile – a Grade 9 Dalton student of Manjuyod Science High School outshined of other contestants in the Oratorical Speech Contest during the recently concluded 1st Congressional District Language Arts Show held at Jose B. Cardenas Memorial High School, Canlaon City, Negros Oriental on November 4-5, 2014 with the theme: “LAS: Our Way of Expressing our Commitment to Environment Preservation”.
The Oratorical Speech Contest is one of the six different contests in Language Arts Show aimed at developing communicative competence, language expertise, proficiency in oral and written communication and remarkable comprehensive skills. These are the essential ingredients of a rich mind ready to tackle the challenges of the 21st century. Miss Kadile was able to get “YES” from the judges through her captivating diction, pronunciation, stage deportment, facial expression and projection. Congratulations to El Shande C. Kadile. September 26, 2014 – Language Arts Show District Level was held at Manjuyod National High School participated in by five high schools in the District of Manjuyod with the theme “ LAS: Our Way of Expressing our Commitment to Environment Preservation”.
Different contests were conducted such as Speech Choir, Oratorical, Extemporaneous, Spelling Bee, Composition Writing and Vocal Solo Singing Contest. Out of the 6 (six) contests, Manjuyod Science High School got 5 (five) as the 1st place as adjudged by the invited members of the panel of Judges namely Dr. Elisa Sevilla – Master Teacher I and English Department Head of Bais City National High School, Mr. Arvin Cabio – Dean of the College of Business Administration ofLa Consolation College in Bais City, and Mr. Edmark Ian Cabio– Curriculum Coordinator in the Division of Bais City.
