SEMINAR–WRITESHOP on Newsletter–A Success! Keziah Azalee Clavano | The SciHigh Torch - July 1, 2014 June 12, 2014 – a day that was set for the conduct of a newsletter – write-shop to all staffers of the newly organized school paper organization of Manjuyod Science High School dubbed as “The SCI-HI Torch” with the adviser – Mr. Jayson Re A. Medenilla and Mrs. Eden R. Bajar as the Asst. Adviser. This event was also participated in by some of the IWAG staffers of Manjuyod National High School held at the IV – Einstein Room. There were 35 staffers who participated in the seminar – writeshop with Mrs. Rhea Melchie A. Abuso as the resource person. An opening program was conducted at 8:00 am followed by the series of lectures on News Writing, Feature Writing, Editorial Writing, Sports Writing, Copy Reading and Headline Writing and Editorial Cartooning. In the afternoon, students were divided according to their area of expertise and they were made to write/do different tasks. The seminar – writeshop ended with the recitation of the Journalist’s Creed during the closing program at 5:00 pm.

“Follow the Guide, Hash tag a Career, Like the Future”, the theme proposed by the Education Department in accordance with the Career Guidance Week. During the 28th day of July as the first day of event, the launching program was done through Career Fashion Presentation by each of the students voluntarily wearing an assigned fashion wear of certain workers and professionals depending upon the assigned year level to carry out and present their selves in character.
